Drips, drops, and pop-ups

🎨 || STARTUP OF THE WEEK

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to check our Cohart’s pop-up gallery launch in Venice, California. It was an incredible experience, seeing NFT art, printed art, live music, and meeting some awesome people. I honestly can say this was the best ‘art’ experience I have ever had. Cohart is a female-founded team that lets anyone discover art. Read more here, but really you should download the app here.

💰 || FEATURED INVESTOR

Melissa Pegus is the Managing Director of the Techstars Atlanta Accelerator Powered by J.P. Morgan, a startup operator, and early-stage investor. After closely being part of six acquisitions, her investment focus is on Commerce, Consumer, and The Creator Economy. Read more about her here and follow her on Twitter. Here’s one of my favorite tweets of hers:

“Startup building is a team sport. You NEED a solid team. You DON’T always need a cofounder. That’s an archetype that has worked for many but is by no means the only way to build a successful business. Solo founders, be encouraged.”

👀 || PITCH PRACTICE

The pitch starts before you enter the room or even say a word. How you communicate before hand, the pitch-deck you send / don’t send before hand, how you arrive on time, how you smile, how you dress, how you carry yourself. Apparently body language makes up over 60% of communication, and 80% of life is showing up. So just get the fundamentals right.

🐦 || TWEET OF THE WEEK

Something to think about:

Something to engage with:

1st time founders, grab some 2nd time founders, this one’s for you: What’s one thing that’s obvious to you now, that you would tell your first-time founder self.

Go share your thoughts!
